Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blushers

July 30, 2015

Tarte is one of my new favourite brands and over the last few months I have collected quite a number of their products however it is the Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blushers that I adore. They certainly live up to the brands claim of the long-wear and fade-free formula, I find it really annoying when I look in the mirror and my blusher has pretty much gone by lunchtime so these get a massive thumbs up from me! On my skin they last really well, the pigment pay off is quite strong so a couple of taps with a brush is all you need for both cheeks. They also don’t change colour once applied, the colour in the pan is what you get. Do not be put off by the colour you see once opened, while the colour pay off is really good, you aren’t going to look like you have gone blusher crazy! They have somehow managed to create a blusher that is light and airy to apply, looks soft on the cheeks and yet still gives enough colour with the smallest amount of product. As for the texture it is a bit different once on your skin for it is almost like the formula warms up, it doesn’t look heavy or feel heavy but in the compact they are very hard, I would guess this is the ‘Amazonian Clay’ ingredient coming into play. Tarte sell an angled blusher brush which is what I use to apply the blushers and just to add to my love of Tarte, not only do they sell some amazing make-up products but their brushes are also incredible. I like the fact the packaging matches up to the colour inside, this makes it really easy when you are choosing what colour you would like to wear. It’s an aspect Tarte do really well, they make sure the packaging is not only practical but also fun and looks fun too. Another plus is the large mirror inside the compact, so you can easily see what you are doing.

The colours above from clockwise are: Dollface, Tipsy, Exposed and Blissful. Out of the four Exposed is my most used, not only do I love it as a cheeck colour but it is also a brilliant contour shade, as well as a crease colour for the eyes. The other three are very similar in shade with subtle difference in the undertones. I have recorded a ‘Favourite Products of the Month Video’ so you can have a look at the colours better. I will link it – HERE.
